Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September. 21 1982) is a famous American actress. Most notably, she played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV show and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. After her parents divorced, they moved together with their mother in Los Angeles. It was a struggle to survive at the time she landed her first role in acting as Rachel's Room's lead character. Her performance in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television film Murder in Greenwich in 2002, earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004, as well as sharing a Screen Actors Guild Award (with the rest of the cast) with her. After leaving the show, Grace was keen to work as a film actress, and had played opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. She appeared as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken the year 2008) as Suburban Girl as well as the Jane Austen Book Club. She reprised the role for Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the lead role Alice in Malice in Wonderland a modern adaptation of Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was back on the Lost series for the last two episodes as Shannon. Grace appeared on Californication's 6th season which ran from 2013 to 2014. She plays Faith, who is the muse and fan of the celebrities. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. The first time she appeared in films of her father when he was an adolescent. Together with her brother she also appeared in Donnie Darko (2000). Later, she was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for her performance as a lead character of Secretary (2002), an erotic romance drama drama and Sherrybaby (2006). In 2006, she was also nominated by The Golden Globe Award. The actress gained more attention when she portrayed Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercials she appeared in the year 2006. In the film, her performance as Crazy Heart as a mother with a single child earned her nomination to an Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. Her subsequent roles include Nanny McPhee, in the Big Bang and Hysteria. The actress also appeared as the role of a Secret Service Agent in White House Down the action thriller that was released in 2013. She also played she was a musician on the set of Frank (2014), and The lead for the lead role in The Kindergarten Teacher, a drama released in the year 2018. Gyllenhaal made her debut as a writer and director in 2021, with her drama about psychological issues The Lost Daughter. For the film, she won the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and nominated for an Academy Award.
